This particular song is from a couple of years ago–back in my Orlando days. Enjoy!
Here Today
Your weather woos me to try to make me stay
You turn my mind from why you’re pushing me away
To why I hold you dear
And all along I’m thinking
I’m gon’ skip this town
Didn’t take the time to stop and look around
At what I’ve got here
Well is it 1 2 3 4, bust down the door
And force an angle that ain’t there?
Or let it come take me away
It’s okay to live for today
Tomorrow will care for itself and yesterday’s gone
Don’t have to throw it all away
Take hold of what’s in hand
And understand that life ain’t long
I’m here today
Well is it 5 6 7 8 don’t wanna be late another milestone comes and goes
Gotta keep ready in my stance
I wanna be awake when it’s my chance
It’s okay to live for today
Tomorrow will care for itself and yesterday’s gone
Don’t have to throw it all away
Take hold of what’s in hand
And understand that life ain’t long
I’m here today

What are my goals for 2012? Some are just about being great at the basics…

So we did it! My wife and I took the plunge to the iPhone from Android. Lots of times, the switchers you hear about are those who are going in the other direction. Not so with me. I drank the Android Kool Aid long ago, defended its merits and principles bravely for a few years. And yet have found that, in my instances of daily use, it comes up short.
I’ve noticed there aren’t a lot of users out there sharing the nuts & bolts of their Android-to-iPhone experience, something I would have found super helpful. With this series of posts, I hope to provide that for the other people looking to weigh the pros & cons, determining what gadget best suits their needs.
So why the switch? Read more…
If it seems like I’ve fallen off the face of the planet, I’m sorry. Potential Church runs hard, and with good reason!
Since our new venture began back in January, Sarah and I have had the honor of not only seeing great things from God, but being a part of it! God has been using us to do things I once thought unattainable Read more…
This last month has been an absolute whirlwind. And while looking at it as a whole still seems overwhelming, my wife and I are certain that God’s hand has directed every breeze of it. Events and dates and times… Locations and meetings and handshakes… Prayers and heart-skips and calculations… He saw it coming; He made it happen.
It’s in this environment that we’ve been living, listening, learning, making decisions. So I’ll give you the short version:
We’re following God’s call on us to serve at Potential Church in South Florida. Come February 1st, I’ll be the Worship Pastor for their Hallandale Beach campus.
There. I said it. Now here’s the longer story… Read more…
My boy, Dunamis Dunn, can bring it! I met this dude on our mission trip to the Dominican Republic with New Missions and First Baptist Orlando. We got to jam out to “Get Down” at one point while we were hanging out with some kids in one of the schools. Here’s the result:
Merry Christmas, everyone! It’s been such a beautiful holiday season, and my family and I would love to share some Christmas cheer with you. You can download the music from this video at http://heyitschristmas.com . It’s a lovely, FREE compilation of Christmas favorites put together by Greg Perkins and his friends.

We’ve had excellent shows and have met some great people! Northbrook Church and Pauline Baptist were such warm hosts. I haven’t had much time to write bring on the road, but rest assured; it’s been a wonderful and successful run.
We’re in the Little rock area now getting ready for a show at First Baptist Benton. Should be killer!
